Questions

I'm a founder and builder. I run HunterMorris, a content and systems agency for founders and companies. I co-founded PORCH, a curated community for international entrepreneurs, which was acquired in May 2026. I also publish Almost Something, a blog, every Thursday. I was born in Canada and travel as much as I can. I studied commerce at the Smith School of Business at Queen's University.

HunterMorris is my company. We write for founders and companies that want their content to sound like a person wrote it. LinkedIn ghostwriting, newsletters, blogs, CRM builds, automations, and design. It started because companies kept asking me to write for them.

PORCH is a curated community for international entrepreneurs. I started it with my dad and it reached members in more than 60 countries. It was acquired in May 2026.

Almost Something is my blog. A new piece goes out every Thursday. It started because the things I was thinking about didn't fit anywhere else, and it's free to read.

Send me a message. Text me or call me at 905-904-2295. Whatever's easiest for you. I reply within 24 hours and usually a lot faster.

What you're building, the piece you keep putting off, roughly when you need it live, and any budget range you have in mind. None of it has to be polished.

It's different for everyone, because it depends entirely on what we're building. There's nothing stopping us from getting moving quickly though.

You're probably a founder or CEO of a smaller company. You know you need someone on newsletters, operations or community, and you may not be at the stage to justify a full-time hire for any of them.

So it sits there, half-built or not built at all, while you get on with actually running the company.

That's who I work with. I usually end up covering a range of things across marketing and ops, because that's what the job looks like when there's one of you and a long list.

If that's the shape of your problem, we'll get along.

Me. I don't outsource and I don't hand anything off. It's a one-person show and I think you'll be surprised what that gets you.

Newsletters start at $1,000 a month, fully managed. Everything else depends on what you actually need, so let's talk and figure it out.

Both: one-off projects, ad-hoc work, retainers, full builds. I've done all of it and I'd rather do whatever works best for you.

You'll never have a list if you don't start.

You probably have more to work with than you think: contacts sitting in your CRM, people who've bought from you before, everyone who's ever emailed you. Start small.

A newsletter also produces a lot more than a newsletter. Every edition gives you content to repurpose across social, traffic back to your site, and a reason to stay in front of people who aren't ready to buy yet. Most buyers aren't ready when you meet them. They're ready 6 months later, and the newsletter is what keeps you in the room until then.

Monthly to start. Don't overdo it.

What matters more than frequency is that every single edition earns its place. If it reads like just another newsletter in a crowded inbox, people unsubscribe immediately. Quality beats quantity every day of the week.

I own the process end to end, which is the point of hiring me. But I'll always want your opinion, your review and your input wherever you feel like giving it. You're the expert on your company and your industry. Not using that would be a waste.

We train on everything you've already made: existing posts, past writing, meeting recordings, anything else we can get our hands on. Most people have years of content sitting there doing nothing.

To start, 100%. It's your name and your reputation.

The goal is to reach a point where you don't need to. Everything is always there for you to review either way. Most of my clients keep reviewing every post, and it takes about 5 seconds in the social calendar I build for you.

Then I go back to the drawing board with your feedback and make it better. We'll get it right.

Disco is my default. It's the leading academy and community platform for building and running these spaces, and I built PORCH (my own community) on it, so I'm biased and I'll say so upfront.

There are other strong platforms out there and the right one depends on what you're running. If Disco isn't it, I'll tell you.

Here's the real scope from a recent build.

Structure and setup. Space architecture mapped to your program, with a free entry point, a gated paid tier, and clear navigation between them. Membership tiers with automatic access on checkout, so members land in the right place with the right content and nobody has to let them in by hand. Discussion channels built for your specific audience, with engagement prompts, conversation starters and pinned resources so people participate instead of lurking.

Events and content libraries. Recurring live sessions with easy registration, a dedicated events tab, and automatic reminders as each one approaches. A video library plus a PDF and toolkit library, so members have a clear, browsable home for on-demand material. Announcements between events to keep the feed alive.

Onboarding and automations. The onboarding flow, member profiles, custom profile fields and a phased first-week walkthrough. A member directory so people can actually find each other. Then the back-end automations across the whole member journey: welcome messages on join, a phased onboarding sequence over the first few weeks, event reminders, and a re-engagement nudge for anyone who goes quiet.

Design polish. Cover images, banners and consistent graphics, so it looks like your brand instead of a default template.

Training and handoff. I train your team to run the day-to-day and document the workflows, so it stays maintainable in-house after launch.

Either. A lot of my community clients keep me on retainer for 6 to 12 months after launch for management, changes, improvements, onboarding, engagement and best practices. I also train your team and document the workflows, so you can take it in-house whenever you want.

I built and ran a community of 1,000+ entrepreneurs across 60+ countries. Launching one is the easier part. Keeping it alive is the job.

1 to 2 months on average.

It varies a lot depending on how much lives inside it: content volume, number of spaces, cohorts, lessons, curriculums, etc. A simple community goes up faster than one with a full curriculum behind it.
